Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

BlueSky Pickup ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a clear understanding of our service rules. This policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed, and outlines the terms and conditions for using our website, blueskypickup.com, and its associated services (collectively, our "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Core Services and Delivery Logistics

 

  • We proudly serve Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island.
  • Orders placed in Manhattan are subject to a $15.00 delivery fee.
  • All orders require a $35.00 minimum.
  • Wash & Fold laundry is priced at $1.89 per pound with next-day delivery.
  • Dry Cleaning is priced per item with two-day delivery. Bedding and specialty items are strictly priced per piece.
  • We do not process leather or suede garments, and we do not offer tailoring or alterations.

 

Terms and Conditions for Cleaning Services

Items given to BlueSky Pickup for cleaning will be termed as "article(s)" in this agreement.

1. Our primary method of billing is paperless; detailed, fully itemized invoices will be sent to your registered e-mail address. However, in compliance with NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection rules, a printed, itemized receipt will be provided to any customer upon request, and will be made available for any transaction over $20 if the customer cannot receive electronic receipts.

2. The Company will use reasonable efforts to ensure that washing, drying, and folding services are maintained at a high level of quality. 

3. Due to time constraints, the Company does not read manufacturer-suggested care and washing/drying labels, and will not be responsible for garments labeled "hand wash only" or "dry clean only." 

4. The Company accepts no liability for "special care" and delicate items that require special attention to be cleaned. 

5. The Company is not responsible for any article which is left beyond 30 days. After this period, any discount given on the order at the time of pickup shall be removed, and a storage fee of 12% per month on the total invoice amount may be charged. In accordance with New York State General Business Law § 399-bb, articles not claimed within six (6) months of the service date will be deemed abandoned. Abandoned items will not be sold; instead, they will be appropriately donated to a bona fide charitable organization or church.

6. The Company reserves the right to refuse to clean any garment. 

7. Stain removal is a part of the process, but complete removal of stains cannot be guaranteed and will be processed at the customer's risk. 

8. The Company is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any personal or non-cleanable items left in the articles, such as money, jewelry, or any other items. 

9. Please note that while we take every precaution to care for your garments, we kindly advise against leaving items with us if you are unable to accept the potential risk of loss.

10. In the rare event of loss or damage directly caused by the Company, we will reimburse the Customer up to a maximum of ten (10) times the processing (laundry/dry cleaning) cost of the specific item, provided the Customer is able to produce proof of purchase or value for the item. Compensation may be provided in the form of service credit or cash refund, depending on the severity of the damage and in accordance with standard New York consumer protection practices.

11. Customers are requested to count their articles at the time of delivery and inform the delivery driver in case of missing items. The Company will not be responsible for any such claims after the article delivery has been accepted and signed by the customer. 

12. The Company gives a warranty of 7 days from the date of delivery for the articles, covering any quality-related issues with the washing or dry-cleaning of articles (only if the article has not been used by the customer after service). Any quality-related claim after the stipulated time shall not be entertained. 

13. Customers may receive regular transactional and marketing updates (Calls / SMS / Email / App Notification) from the Company. If a customer wishes to stop receiving these, they must register a request with the Company's Customer Care Department. 

14. The Company shall not be held responsible for any ornaments/jewelry fittings on the garment. 

15. The Customer shall examine articles for damage at the time of delivery and notify the driver at that time. The Company shall not be responsible for any claims made afterward. 

16. In the event of any loss, damage, or delay due to FORCE MAJEURE conditions, the Company is not liable for any compensation or reduction in charges. 

17. We accept no liability for any loss or damage to the articles arising due to fire, burglary, or any other similar unforeseen causes. 

18. Some processes/items may require an additional period to process. No deduction on the billed amount or claim can be initiated against the Company in respect of delays. 

19. Tariffs for designer wear will be decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the complexity of the garment. This will be communicated to the customer after examination by an expert at the processing center. 

Cancellation / Refund Policy:

1. Any extra amount paid by the customer for a retail order can be refunded by the company if the customer requests it. 

2. Balances available in "Prepaid" plans are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to any other customer. 

3. The user can cancel at any time before the actual pick-up. No cancellation charges will be levied. 

4. In the event the Company denies processing any article for any reason, the order amount for that article will be refunded to the retail customer or added to the prepaid balance for a prepaid plan customer. 

5. If a customer wants to cancel the order for any reason, the cancellation request must be placed within 2 hours of the pickup of the articles. 

6. Once an order is punched and processed, it cannot be cancelled. 

Coupons & Discounts: 

1. Coupons can only be applied by the customer using the BlueSky Pickup mobile app or website. 

2. Once an order is placed and an invoice is generated, a coupon cannot be applied. 

3. No two or more discounts/coupons/offers can be clubbed together. (Get 25% off your first Wash & Fold order with code FIRST25 and 25% off your second order with AGAIN25). 

Payment Terms

1. The Company does not provide printed bills by default; invoices will be sent by e-mail only to the registered email ID. 

2. Customers will be charged express prices for any express delivery. 

3. Customers must pay the entire amount before the successful delivery of the order. 

4. For retail orders, we accept debit or credit cards processed securely via Clearant.

5. Every order with BlueSky Pickup must be prepaid before we start cleaning any clothes.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing. We may engage trusted third party service providers to perform functions and provide services to us, such as hosting and maintaining our servers, credit card processing via Clearant, customer service, and fulfilling orders for products and services you purchase through our service. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway provider's database (Clearant), only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards) is never kept on file on our servers.
